Her name might not be huge in Australia, but Adelaide-born, US-based singer Sia Furler is songwriting with Christina Aguilera, and Amy Winehouse is a fan.
The 33-year-old, who is known professionally just as Sia, left home 11 years ago looking for adventure overseas.
Furler was invited along to a jam session in London, where she picked up a manager, who in turn hooked her up with record and publishing deals.

 In her debut ad campaign for Stephen Webster, pop star Christina Aguilera channeled the glamorous sirens of Alfred Hitchcock’s films. This year, she’s at it again, posing as the face of the brand’s latest ads, but this time around she has a futuristic new look.
The soft waves of hair, bright red lipstick and vintage ensembles are gone, with Aguilera now done up with stick-straight hair, a neutral palette of makeup and a black leather get-up, making for an edgier, more modern campaign.

Project Runway is returning to television this summer — and it will air on Lifetime.
According to the network, legal battles surrounding beleaguered reality show’s already-filmed sixth season have been amicably resolved. “The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome,” the networks say in a joint statement.
