After saying that she wants a more futuristic sound for her upcoming release, Christina Aguilera has begun collaborating with electro group Ladytron. The band is penning songs for Aguilera’s fourth studio album, and recently told Radio One that they’ve gotten a lot accomplished. “Right now we’re still in the studio,” one member of the Liverpool-based group said. “One song is a cover of [Ladyhawke's] ‘My Delirium’. It’s all very interesting work, and new ground for all of us involved.”
We’re not surprised, especially since it’s out there in the blogosphere that she’s been biting Lady Gaga’s funky look. We’re just glad the X-tina phase is over (except for the red lipstick, of course).
We’re still trying to get the scoop on Aguilera’s next Spanish-language album. Stay tuned.

LADY GaGa says she’s thankful Christina Aguilera “copied” her look because it gave her publicity.
The singer, who is thought to be the inspiration behind Christina’s new ‘futuristic’ image, says she wouldn’t be as well known if it wasn’t for the star’s style choices.
She says: “Well, it was very flattering when it happened.
“She’s such a huge star and if anything I should send her flowers, because a lot of people in America didn’t know who I was until that whole thing happened. It really put me on the map in a way.”
But Christina said she had never heard of Lady GaGa when the concept for her look was created.

NEW York-based singer-songwriter Lady Gaga may have just broken into the mainstream this year, but she has already had brushes with notoriety.
The singer – whose real name is Stefani Germanotta and who seems to style herself after characters from 1980s cartoon Jem – was given a police warning for indecent exposure last year.
She had been walking around the grounds of a festival clad in skimpy hot shorts and a bra.
“This is me,” she says now of the incident. “I’m a lady all the time, but I do love my fashion and I’m very theatrical about it.”
The 22-year-old with a shock of platinum-blonde hair also draws comparisons to pop diva Christina Aguilera. Last month, Aguilera was even asked if she had stolen Germanotta’s style.

Akon weighs in on the Lady GaGa vs. Christina Aguilera comparisons. “I definitely feel that Christina Aguilera is very inspired by Lady GaGa. It’s almost identical,” he tells Rap-Up TV about Christina’s uncanny resemblance to his Konlive artist, who currently has a top 5 hit with “Just Dance.” “She was never doing that before Lady GaGa came out.”
Plus, he gives us the scoop on signing TLC’s Chilli to his label and the possibility of a Grammy for his camp.

Yesterday, E! News had a short segment on the Lady Gaga comparisons. They asked Christina about it on the red carpet of the Grammy Nominations Concert. Here’s the video.
To say that Christina Aguilera has had a remarkable career is an understatement. The chart-topping songstress is now a bona-fide brand and arguably the heir to Mariah Carey’s R&B throne.
While fans eagerly await a new record — tipped as “futuristic” and perhaps marking a return to dance-floor bangers such as “Dirrty” — Xtina today (Nov. 11) releases a greatest-hits collection, “Keeps Gettin’ Better: A Decade of Hits,” exclusively through Target and the retailer’s website.
Pop & Hiss had a five minute chat via phone with the “Beautiful” singer late last week, when she shared a few thoughts on the last decade. Suffice it to say, this new mother is not looking back in anger.

Okay, I know that this is like the 87978th article about this but I was hesitant to post them except for the first one which I later found out that is from Wikipedia. LOL Well, here’s another one that comes from a better source.
GayWired: So let’s be catty. After Christina Aguilera’s performance at the 2008 MTV VMA’s a lot of folks seemed to think that XTina had, shall we say, borrowed significantly from your sound and look. What did you think of the performance… honestly?
Lady Gaga: Well, I think that there were a lot of similarities for sure… but I think everyone made such a huge deal out of nothing. She’s been around for such a long time and I have a tremendous amount of respect for her.
It’s a small industry and everyone inspires everyone, so, if anything, I was really, really flattered by the idea that Christina may have been inspired by my work.
GW: Well they do say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
LG: Yeah. It was really very flattering and I don’t have any hard feelings about it. I think Christina is tremendous.
More than anything I wanted to wrap my arms around all of my gay fans and hold them because they are all so protective of me and they were all so sweet. I was really humbled to see all the blogging and the emails that I got.
