Jordan Bratman, an American music executive, was born on June 4, 1977. He landed his first gig in the music industry at the early age of sixteen. He soon went on to intern at several recording studios in New York City, his hometown. After graduating from the elite New York prep school the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in 1995, Bratman pursued his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management at Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School in Louisiana. While a student there, Jordan began seeking out and recording many emerging local artists at The American Sector Recording Studio in New Orleans, Louisiana. Bratman's ear for talent attracted the attention of Grammy Award Winning Producer Dallas Austin, who in 1999, appointed Jordan as the head of A&R for Atlanta-based DARP Music, Inc. DARP quickly emerged as one of the most successful music production companies worldwide and in two short years Jordan went on to serve as Austin's manager, overseeing the development and production of a wide array of certified hits for music heavyweights including Madonna, Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, TLC, and Pink. After forming his own independent management shingle, Jordan relocated to Los Angeles, where he was handpicked by UMG Soundtracks to act as a consultant to Universal Pictures, collaborating on profitable soundtracks for films including Bad Boys II and Honey. Most recently, Bratman has teamed up with Azoffmusic Management, working hand in hand in providing the music community with a roster of high profile recording artists and producers.

ENGAGEMENT

Christina Aguilera was completely surprised when her boyfriend, Jordan Bratman, proposed to her, she told People magazine. They recreated a romantic dinner they had while touring India in autumn 2004. Her beau of two years had filled their hotel room with rose petals, red and pink balloons, and gift boxes, each filled with a present and a poem. The last box held a 5-carat diamond-and-platinum ring designed by jeweler Stephen Webster, who also made wedding bands for Madonna and Guy Richie. "It's classic, but it has a rock and roll feeling," she told the magazine. "He got down on one knee and said, 'Will you do the honor of being my wife?' I've been floating ever since."

WEDDING

Aguilera, 24, and Bratman, 28, exchanged vows in a Saturday evening ceremony, which, according to the Us Weekly web site, took place in front of 130 friends and family at the Staglin Family Vineyard in Napa Valley and featured a gospel choir.

The magazine reported that former Mouseketeer Aguilera's hair was decorated with jewels and pulled back in a bun that was topped with white flowers, that she wore a dress designed by Christian Lacroix and that she later said the ceremony was "amazing".

Among the guests who watched the pair exchange vows shortly after 6 p.m. PST were actress Sharon Stone, Aguilera's longtime manager Irving Azoff (who introduced the couple in 2002 when Bratman worked for his agency) and her dancers. It is the first marriage for both, who got engaged in February 2005 after dating for two years.

The couple, who had a bachelor/bachelorette party in Las Vegas over Halloween, began their wedding weekend on Wednesday, according to Us Weekly, when they arrived at the Napa Airport on a private jet and had a candlelit dinner at the upscale French Laundry restaurant, which stayed open to accommodate their late arrival. They then checked into a private $3,500-a-night cottage at the Auberge du Soleil Inn, where their room boasted a fireplace, steam shower and outdoor sunken hot tub.

When guests began arriving Thursday, they were driven from the airport in Aguilera's Rolls Royce Phantom, which was shipped up from Los Angeles on a flatbed truck. Friday night's elaborate rehearsal dinner was Japanese themed, according to the magazine, with lanterns, pink roses and fresh bamboo stems in wooden planters with pink cherry blossoms in the center. The dinner was catered by L.A.'s Hamasaku restaurant and featured a "Christina Aguilera Roll", a cut roll wrapped in soy paper with spicy tuna, rice, avocado and topped with sweet eel sauce.
