Christina Aguilera bounced onto the pop scene back in 1999 with her self-titled album and signature song “Genie in a Bottle” which reached number 1 on the Billboard charts for several weeks.

Her follow up album, 2002’s Stripped, produced even more hits for the blonde bombshell and despite being one of the longest and most misconstrued albums of the year, it gave contemporaries such as Britney Spears a run for their money.

Taking a cue from Madonna, as the hits got bigger, the outfits became smaller until Aguilera became better known for what she wasn’t wearing than what she was singing about. Four years later things changed again.

Christina Aguilera has encouraged fans to head towards the US polling stations for the upcoming Presidential elections.

The American pop and R&B singer showed up at the Rock The Vote party at the Esquire House on September 25 to encourage the public to voice their opinion in the political ballot.

Everyone that is able to have an opinion should let it be heard and should voice it, the Sun quoted her as saying.

However, the singer admitted that in the mean time she wouldnt mind if the fans popped in to buy her new single Keeps Gettin Better, which is set to hit the market on November 3 a day before the US election.

Christina, who recently put up a splendid performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, is scheduled to release her greatest hits album of the same name in the following week.

American pop and R&B singer Christina Aguilera has insisted that her life recently has made her feel ‘sexier than ever’.

The 27-year-old singer, who showed up at the ‘Rock The Vote’ party at the Esquire House on September 25, remarked that her past experiences have grown onto her and that she’s much wiser now.

“I feel great,” People magazine quoted her, as saying. “Sexier than ever,” she added.

She said: “I think it is sexier to be more knowledgeable about life, growing from your experiences, growing into a woman or person – if you do learn from your lessons, that is.”

The singer, who gave birth to her son Max eight months ago, prioritizes her motherhood before anything else.

But that does not stop the singer-songwriter from making her own time. She said: “It is really important to me that I don”t lose myself.”

“I still do things that make me feel good. I let my son experience who I am – as an artist, as a musician, things that I love and am passionate about,” she added.

Christina, who recently put up a splendid performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, is scheduled to release her greatest hits album “Keeps Gettin’ Better – A Decade of Hits” on November 11.
